On the day that Anjali Singh died after being dragged under a car in Delhi, a similar incident took place in the neighbouring city of Noida.

Kaushal, a Swiggy delivery agent, reportedly died on 1 January 2023 after a car allegedly hit his two-wheeler and dragged him for around 500 metres.

Eyewitnesses said that the car stopped near a temple, and after Kaushal's body was disentangled, fled from the scene. Police said that they are scanning CCTV footage to trace the driver.

Just hours earlier, 20-year-old Anjali died after a car allegedly hit her scooty, and her body was dragged for around 13 km after getting tangled in the vehicle's undercarriage. All 5 alleged occupants of the car have been arrested.
