With Covid cases continuing to rise in Delhi, the national capital may soon see more restrictions, although a full lockdown is unlikely.
The Delhi Disaster Management Authority held a meeting on January 10, a day after Covid cases rose by 22,751, making the positivity rate hit 23.5%. Delhi restaurants may soon be shut for the dine-in option, although takeaways might still be allowed, reports quoted sources as saying. Currently, dine-in facility is allowed with up to 50% capacity.

Also, private offices may have to follow 100% work from home policy, as per reports. Right now, it is restricted to 50%. There is also a night and weekend curfew in place in the national capital. The DDMA also discussed seating capacity issue in the Delhi metro and buses. Currently, 100% seating is allowed.
The possibility of imposing economic and travel restrictions throughout the national capital region, which covers neighbouring cities, was reportedly discussed.
Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal had chaired the DDMA meeting which was also attended by CM Arvind Kejriwal, and his ministers and top officials.
