The Centre has hit back at Rahul Gandhi hours after the Congress leader held PM responsible for the second wave of Covid-19 and warned multiple waves will hit India if a proper vaccination strategy is not adopted.

Responding to the criticism, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said on Friday that India will be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by the end of 2021. The centre lashed out at Rahul Gandhi for pointing out that less than three per cent of the country's population received both shots so far.

Javadekar asked Rahul to look at the Congress ruled states instead where there is a ‘mess in vaccination’. Javdekar also accused non-BJP states, of ‘not taking the quota for 18-44 age group given to them from May 1’.
