CBSE class 10 exams cancelled, class 12 exams postponed as India battles fresh Covid wave

The Board Exams for Classes 12th and 10th Board exams has been postponed in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic, the government said in a press release on Wednesday.

Earlier in the day, PM Modi met with Education Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal and other top officials to discuss the demands to cancel CBSE class 10 and 12 board exams amid an alarming spike in daily.

The government’s decision comes in the wake of spiraling cases in the deadly second wave. India recorded 1,84,372 new coronavirus infections on Wednesday, the highest single-day rise so far.
