BJP's Suvendu Adhikari 'hiring criminals' in Nandigram: TMC to EC

The Trinamool Congress has complained to the election commission that Suvendu Adhikari, the BJP candidate against CM Mamata Banerjee in Nandigram, is "hiring criminals and anti-social elements".

TMC's Derek O'Brien has listed addresses in the letter for the alleged criminals from outside being harboured in Nandigram to cause trouble, reports said. The TMC has given details of houses where Adhikari has allegedly sheltered upto 50 goons each.

The party has alleged that the local police had been informed but had refused to act.

One of Mamata's trusted aides, Suvendu Adhikari, has now joined the BJP is taking on the CM in the Nandigram seat.
