Battlegrounds Mobile India has said that Facebook logins for Android users will be disabled from November 5. Game developer Krafton has said that BGMI players who have so far used their Facebook accounts to login will now need to have the Facebook app installed on their Android smartphone. The change is due to a policy update in the Facebook SDK, which disables logins with Facebook accounts through the embedded browser in Android devices.
Krafton has posted a notice on its website announcing the November 5 deadline, saying that players with Facebook logins will need to have the social media app installed on their smartphones in order to play with the same game data. Failure to do so after November 5 will result in the BGMI account getting disabled until the Facebook app is installed. If players do not wish to install the Facebook app, they must make a fresh account using different login methods, and lose all game date.

The change will currently only affect Android users, and iOS users will not be affected by the change. After its launch earlier this year, Battlegrounds Mobile India has allowed users to carry over their save game data from the banned PUBG Mobile, using their Facebook or Twitter logins. However, this data transfer method was shut down in September due to Facebook's policy update, which is now affecting the Facebook login method on Android devices.
