Back to work from September, Is it the end of WFH era?

Large companies across the board in the US are looking at a return to physical office in September. IBM the latest one, has sent a memo to employees to gear them to end the work-from-home (WFH) era this fall. 

A memo sent to IBM staff this week from their Chief Human Resources Officer stated that employees will go back to the office the week of Sept. 7. The memo didn’t specify whether or not employees will have the option to continue remote work either full or part time, but did say IBM has “long-established practices and policies supporting work life balance which will continue as we return to the office

Google as well which was the first company to send employees home when the pandemic struck is working on an accelerated plan for full office return by September 1. 

A recent survey conducted on Wall Street saw 61% of offices in the financial services returning to physical offices completely by September.
