Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh has written an angry letter to Congress interim chief Sonia Gandhi amid an escalating crisis in the party ahead of the state assembly polls next year.
The letter was shot off after Navjot Singh Sidhu met Sonia and Rahul Gandhi in Delhi following reports that he will likely be appointed as Punjab Congress president.
In the letter, the Captain has reportedly expressed his resentment over the party's apparent move to appoint Sidhu as state Congress chief.

He also said the party high command was "forcibly interfering" with the working of the Punjab government and in the state's politics.
He is believed to have told Sonia Gandhi that the party high command should understand the prevailing situation in Punjab, which is not favourable for a change in leadership and that such developments will have an adverse impact on the Congress's prospects in the state
