7th round of talks with China: India demands disengagement

India and China will today hold the seventh round of military talks amid tensions along the Line of Actual Control in eastern Ladakh. The latest round of talks will happening at Chushul on the Indian side of the LAC. The Indian side will demand comprehensive disengagement at all flashpoints and restoration of status quo ante of early April, the Hindustan Times has reported quoting officials. The latest military talks are taking place weeks after China hardened its position and asserted that it recognises the 1959 LAC, which was never accepted by India.
