15 streaming platforms including Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Disney+ Hotstar have reportedly signed a self-regulatory code to ensure no content on their platforms is censored by Indian regulators. Reportedly created by the Internet and Mobile Association of India, the code is already in effect, and lists common approaches to label content via age, provide descriptions, and offer ways to report violations in the system. The streaming services are also required to set up complaint departments and internal committees to look into any issues.
