Zuckerberg is ‘excited’ as WhatsApp Pay goes live in India

Facebook chief Mark Zuckerberg said in a video message that he is “excited” that WhatsApp has been approved to launch payments across India.

He added that India has created something "truly special" with the UPI, and is opening up a world of opportunities for micro and small businesses that are the backbone of the Indian economy.

Zuckerberg also said that sending money will be now as easy as sending a message, and that it’s “free”, “secure” and “private”.
