In the wake of the raging second wave of Covid-19 in India, Yash Raj Films (YRF) head honcho Aditya Chopra has pledged to vaccinate the daily workers of the entire Hindi film industry.

YRF has said that they will sponsor Covid-19 vaccines for 30,000 registered workers of Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) through the Yash Chopra Foundation.

YRF, in an statement, has urged the Maharashtra chief minister, Uddhav Thackeray, to allow the company to purchase vaccines and take care of all the expenses related to the immunisation programme for daily workers of the industry.

YRF further explained that once the vaccination will be done, the workers can resume their respective work and the industry may begin to function without looming fears.
