A security scare occurred near the residence of the US President on the night of May 22, 2023.
A truck crashed into security barriers near the White House, as per reports. The driver of the truck was detained by the Secret Service after the incident on Lafayette Square.
Roads and pedestrian walkways near the crash site were closed as an investigation was launched.
No White House or Secret Service personnel were injured.
