While many Twitter employees, former and continuing, must be thinking about the 'good old days' because of the chaos unleashed by new boss Elon Musk, nostalgia has also hit the users of the platform.

They are thinking about the time when Twitter wasn't the 'in thing' and Facebook wasn't all that popular. The time when people weren't tweeting or posting on walls but leaving scraps.

Yes, you have guessed it right. People are missing Orkut. For the uninitated, Orkut was a social media platform started by Google in 2004. Named after its developer Orkut Büyükkökten, the social media platform was the first one the scene.

You could connect with friends, write testimonials for them, upload pictures and more.

Tweeple are now missing the simplicity of Orkut days and have started sharing memes leading to the now defunct platform trending on Twitter.

Some people have also called for the resurrection of Orkut.

The site was shut down in 2014 after its users dropped due to arrival of new platforms.
