Former Pakistan prime minister Nawaz Sharif claimed that his PML-N had emerged as the single largest party in the national elections held on February 8. Sharif addressed his supporters at the party headquartes in Lahore even before the Election Commission had announced the results. Sharif's party and independents backed by Imran Khan's party are in a neck-to-neck fight.
