An Indian-American has been accused of racially insulting another Indian-American in USA's California.
Krishnan Jayaraman accused Tejinder Singh of hurling insults like "dirty Hindu" and "disgusting dog" at him at a Taco Bell outlet in Fremont, California on 21 August 2021.
Jayaraman captured the incident on camera, and clips went viral on social media. Police have charged Tejinder Singh of committing a hate crime in violation of civil rights, assault and disturbing the peace by offensive language.
The latest incident took place just days after another racist case came to light. On 25 August, four Indian-American women were racially abused and attacked by a Mexican-American woman in Texas. The accused allegedly hurled racist slurs at the women, accusing them of "ruining" America and telling them to "go back to India".
