Amid protests in China, Apple plans to move production to India, Vietnam

Apple is planning to shift its production to India and Vietnam as its looks to reduce dependency on China amid recent protests at the Zhengzhou plant. According to the Wall Street Journal, the company is telling suppliers to actively scout for places in particularly India and Vietnam for assembling Apple products. Recent unrest in China over the Zero-covid policy has severely disrupted its supply chains leading to an acute shortage of new iPhone 14 Pro models
