Dr Reddy's Laboratories CEO Deepak Sapra has said that his company is trying to seek regulatory approval for the single-dose Sputnik V Light vaccine in India.  Sapra who confirmed that the Clinical trials of the single-dose vaccine are being conducted in Russia added that Sputnik Light's single shot will be able to give 80% efficacy. He further said that Sputnik Light will be a shot in the arm for the country's vaccination program. NITI Aayog's Dr VK Paul said at a press conference earlier this month that they are investigating Russian Direct Investment Fund's (RDIF) claim that the first dose of Sputnik Light is enough.
