Protesting against the hike in petrol prices in the Andhra Pradesh, some members of the Telugu Desam Party stood in the middle of a ring of fire raising slogans against the fuel price rise.

After the petrol prices crossed the ₹100/litre mark last week across the country, Andhra Pradesh reported ₹108 per litre, making it the highest in the state. Andhra Pradesh fuel prices are more than its neighbouring states like Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu

Opposition parties have planned protests against the fuel price hike across the state with Congress planning to hold a 10-day nationwide agitation against skyrocketing fuel prices.

The country on Saturday saw an increase in petrol prices by 30-40 paisa while diesel prices remained unchanged.
