A video of a family trying to break the barricades outside a hospital in Ahmedabad has been doing rounds on the internet.
Reportedly the patient could not get admitted to the 900-bed DRDO's Dhanvantari Covid Hospital for the last three days. The family of the patient tried to barge in when all attempts to get admission failed. The healthcare system in India is currently extremely stressed amid the massive surge in coronavirus cases in the past month. There is an acute shortage of hospital beds, medical oxygen and anti-viral drugs to treat Covid-19 patients.
