A case has been filed against a doctor in Karnataka after a video of him refusing to wear mask at a mall went viral.
Police said that Dr Srinivas Kakkilaya entered a shopping mall without a mask and argued with a store manager when asked to put on a mask.
The doctor reportedly called the mask rule "foolish". The case was filed under the Pandemic Act after a written complaint from the manager, who said the doctor's actions had put himself, his employees and other customers at risk.
The doctor reportedly told the store manager that he already had Covid and wasn't putting anybody at risk. Masks are mandatory for all due to the raging Covid pandemic.
