Uttarakhand minister Yashpal Arya, his MLA son quit BJP to join Congress

Uttarakhand minister Yashpal Arya and his son Sanjeev Arya have quit the BJP and joined the Congress on Monday.

While Yashpal Arya is the transport minister in the BJP-led government in Uttarakhand, his son Sanjeev is an MLA from Nainital.

Yashpal Arya and Sanjeev joined the Congress in the presence of party leaders Harish Rawat, Randeep Surjewala and KC Venugopal in Delhi.
