UP Elections 2022: Akhilesh hints at alliance with Shivpal Yadav, says will give 'chacha' respect

The family drama that started within the Samajwadi Party after the 2017 Uttar Pradesh elections may come a full circle ahead of the state polls next year. 

SP chief Akhilesh Yadav has hinted at a possibility of an alliance with his estranged uncle Shivpal Yadav who formed a party of his own in 2018 after a very bitter family feud over leadership of Samajwadi Party.

Speaking at a press conference, the former UP CM said that he is trying to form alliance with smaller parties for the upcoming polls and he will try to ally with his uncle's Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party Lohia as well.

He further added that Shivpal Yadav will be accorded complete respect from the Samajwadi Party.
