United States' top infection expert and White House chief medical adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci has said that data shows that Indian vaccine Covaxin is effective against the double mutant variant of the corona virus.
Speaking in a conference call Fauci told reporters "The most recent data, was looking at COVID-19 cases and people who received the Covaxin vaccine in India. It was found to neutralise the 617 variant." He also told reporters that , despite the real difficulty that we're seeing in India, vaccination could be a very, very important antidote against this,"
