Union Cabinet to table proposal to withdraw 3 farm bills in Parliament on Nov 24

The Union Cabinet is likely to table the proposal to withdraw the contentious three farm laws in its meeting on Wednesday, according to news reports. 

The proposal is likely to be approved and the farms laws will then be officially withdrawn in the Parliament in the upcoming Winter session, which starts from November 29.

Thousands of farmers from Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh have been protesting at the borders of the national capital since November 26 last year to demand repeal of the three farm laws, and enactment of a new law to guarantee MSP for crops.

On the occasion of Gurupurab, while addressing the nation, PM Modi repealed the three farm laws.
