Twitter briefly removed the verified blue tick from former Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni's account on Friday. The micro-blogging site restored the blue tick after a little while.
According to Twitter's regulations, lack of activity for a prolonged period could lead to a verified account losing its blue tick.
Dhoni, who has 8.2 million followers on Twitter, last tweeted on January 8, 2021.
The blue tick on a Twitter handle signifies that the account is authentic.
