Twitter India chief Manish Maheshwari has told the Karnataka High Court he is ready to appear before police in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad within 24 hours only if they provide an undertaking stating he will not be arrested
Maheshwari had moved the Karnataka High Court seeking transit anticipatory bail, days after a legal notice was sent to him for not removing posts linked to the alleged assault of a Muslim man in Ghaziabad.
The high court had granted him interim relief and directed Ghaziabad Police not to take any coercive steps against him
The UP Police on Tuesday told the High Court that they don't want to arrest Manish Maheshwari but only seek his cooperation in the investigation of the case
