A group of BJP MLAs in Tripura have raised a banner of revolt against CM Biplab Deb. Reports said that about a dozen MLAs are camping in Delhi to meet party leadership to apprise them of what they say the "misrule" of the chief minister. The rebels group is reportedly led by BJP heavyweight Sudip Roy Barman. The MLAs have claimed that the CM's "total dictatorship and poor governance" are making the BJP unpopular in Tripura. The dissidents have also alleged total mismanagement of the Covid pandemic in the state and that many IAS and IPS officers are leaving the state due to CM's "dictatorship".
