Earlier this month Madhya Pradesh police had busted a racket selling marijuana through Amazon delivery system. The police team seized nearly 22 kg and the FIR filed in this case also mentioned executive directors of  Amazon as accused.

The trader body  has urged the government time and  again to  take action against e-commerce giants like Amazon and Flipkart who they allege are  resorting to malpractice and targeting small traders. In June this year, the trader body had approached the government to revisit the foreign direct investment norms for e-commerce players.
