A day after visiting Twitter offices in New Delhi and Gurgaon, the Delhi Police on Tuesday reportedly issued notices to two Congress party members to join the probe in connection with the 'toolkit' controversy.

The row started when several BJP leaders including party spokesperson Sambit Patra shared a host of documents allegedly created by Congress in order to "malign" PM Modi's image over the government's handling of Covid-19.

Congress called the documents and filed multiple complaints against various BJP leaders over the issue.

Twitter had also tagged the document shared by BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra as 'manipulated media' on May 21.
