Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday dialled Sumit Antil after the 23-year-old para-athlete smashed World Records multiple times to clinch the Javelin Throw gold medal in the F64 category on Monday.

In the telephonic interaction, the PM hailed Antil's spirit of resilience and told him that he has made the nation proud. The Sports Authority of India posted the video of the interaction on its Twitter account. The Haryana-based para-javelin thrower won the gold medal with a world-record throw of 68.55m.
