23-year-old Neeraj Chopra re-wrote history as he became the 1st Indian to win an Olympic gold medal in athletics. With a massive throw of 87.58m, Neeraj reached the top of the competition in Men's Javelin throw ahead of some much-celebrated athletes.

Neeraj's throw of 87.58m is much below his personal best as he recorded this distance in the 2nd throw of the competition. With pushing himself early, Neeraj almost ran out of juice and never touched the 80m mark after that but the previous best throw of 87.58m was enough to take him to the center of the podium with a historic gold medal around his neck.
