A delightful Neeraj Chopra who scripted history at Tokyo 2020, feels that his Gold medal is the beginning of a new revolution in Indian Sports. The young athlete became the nation's pride after he secured India's first athletics gold with his 87.58m Javelin throw. Speaking about his injury and the time lost during the pandemic, the 23-year-old Panipat-born player in an interview with The Times of India said that the Gold medal has healed all his bad memories and has brought immense satisfaction.
Chopra who is now set to prepare for the next year's Common Wealth Games, Asian Games and World Championships also revealed what his coach Klaus Bartonietz told him just before the final. Bartonietz asked him to 'throw his best in his first attempt like in the qualification and to not leave anything for a chance'
