Australia's Emma McKeon created history on Sunday as she became the first female swimmer to win 7 medals at a single Olympics event after her team won the 4X100m medley race. She is now only the 2nd woman to achieve the feat after Soviet Gymnast Mariya Gorokhovskaya grabbed as many medals in the 1952 Olympics. The 27-year-old also surpassed Swimming great Ian Thorpe's Olympic record time, after she won Women's 50 mt freestyle in 23.81 secs on the same day. She has won 4 gold medals and 3 Bronze medals across swimming events at Tokyo 2020. McKeon who also swept the 100 mt competition, became only the 4th swimmer ever to achieve the 50-100 mt freestyle golden double at Olympics.
