As Lovlina Borgohain attempts to go where no other Indian boxer has been before, a programme was organised in Assam to pray for the boxer on Tuesday night.
The event was attended by Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, as he lit a candle and wished Lovlina all the luck for her big semifinal bout due on Wednesday at 11 am.
23-year-old Lovlina has already assured herself of a bronze in welterweight and is the first Assamese to secure an Olympic medal.
