Tokyo Olympics 2020: 13-year-olds on podium in street skateboarding

In the inaugural Olympics street skateboarding competition, both the first and the second spots were won by the youngest Olympians at Tokyo 2020.

13-year-old Momiji Nishiya created history by winning the first-ever women's street skateboarding gold by scoring 15.26 and becoming Japan's youngest ever gold medallist.

Brazil's Rayssa Leal, also 13, scored 14.64 and secured the second spot. Japan won the Bronze medal as well, as Funa Nakayama put up a score of 14.49 in the competition. 

Momiji broke swimmer Kyoko Iwasaki's record, who won gold at the age of 14 in Barcelona.
