A delegation of Trinamool Congress leaders will meet the Election Commissioner in New Delhi on Friday over the alleged attack on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in Nandigram.

At least six party MPs are likely to join the meeting. A day after Banerjee said she was attacked by a group of 'four or five people' outside a temple, a case was registered over the incident, following a complaint lodged by TMC leader Sheikh Sufian.

Preliminary medical tests conducted on Banerjee detected severe bone injuries in her left ankle and foot, and injuries in right shoulder, forearm and neck.
