A week before parliament's Monsoon Session ends, TMC MP Derek O'Brien on Sunday demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi attends the proceedings and listen to the demands of the opposition.

The parliament has been disrupted since day one of the ongoing session as opposition clamoured for a discussion on the Pegasus spyware row, the farmers' issues among several others. Meanwhile, the government, which has denied any illegal snooping in a statement in parliament, has refused to discuss the matter further.

O'Brien tweeted a three-minute video of various opposition parties pushing for a discussion in the parliament, and urged the Prime Minister to listen

Irked by the repeated chaos and adjournments PM Modi said the ‘Parliament is being insulted by the acts of the Opposition in both Houses’.
