Farmers leader Rakesh Tikait on Friday announced that the agitation against the farm laws will not be withdrawn till the government withdraws the laws in Parliament.

Reacting to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's announcement on the withdrawal of the farm laws, Tikait said that the government must also talk to the farmers on MSP and other issues.

In a surprise announcement on the occasion of Gurupurab, PM Modi announced that govt is withdrawing the three contentious farm laws. He also urged the farmers to end their agitation and go home.

"Maybe something was lacking in our tapasya, which is why we could not convince some farmers about the laws. But today is Prakash Parv, not the time to blame anyone. Today, I want to tell the country that we have decided to repeal the three farm laws," PM Modi said in an address to the nation.
