Thousands of protestors took to the streets in France, Italy, Greece and Australia on Saturday to demonstrate against coronavirus restrictions and mandatory vaccination policies.
Dozens of protesters were arrested in Sydney after clashes broke between them and the police during a match that was dubbed a 'freedom' rally by the organisers. The protest came as Covid-19 case numbers in New South Wales reached another record with 163 new infections on Saturday.
In Paris, police used tear gas and water cannons to disperse demonstrators at a rally against President Emmanuel Macron's health pass that requires everyone to have a special virus pass to enter restaurants and other venues. They were also protesting against Macron mandating Covid-19 vaccinations for all healthcare workers.
