The Nagaon district administration brings positive change in Batadrava

The Nagaon district administration on Monday conducted an eviction drive on government lands at Shantipur Jaladhar under Batadrava constituency in Nagaon district.

A vast area of the government land of Batadrava have been encroached upon illegally. The Nagaon district administration carried out an eviction drive demolishing fisheries which were made illegally. These unauthorized fisheries are creating the river to lose their original track. It is also one of the causes for the cracks in the wall of the historical Doul temple in Batadrava.

The district administration conducts this eviction drive to protect the Batadrava area and the historical Doul temple

Addressing the media, the Nagaon district administration official says, "Today Nagaon district administration demolished fisheries in Jaladhar under Batadrava constituency. They were illegally constructed in unauthorized places. To protect the historical Doul temple we have contacted the eviction drive."
