Tokyo Olympics 2020: 'Thank you Tokyo', Olympic medallist Mirabai Chanu returns home

After scripting history at the Tokyo 2020, Olympic silver medallist Mirabai Chanu returns home. Chanu who opened India's medal tally at the quadrennial event took to Twitter to express her gratitude towards Tokyo Olympics.  

Heading back home, Thank you Tokyo 2020 for the memorable moments of my life, posted the Manipur-based athlete along with her picture on Twitter. The 26-year-old who won India's first weightlifting medal at the Olympics in 21 years clinched silver in the 49 kg category as she successfully buried her disastrous past of the Rio Olympics. 

The Chief Minister's secretariat on Sunday announced that the Manipur Government has decided to appoint Olympic Silver Medallist Saikhom Mirabai Chanu as Additional Superintendent of Police (Sports) in the police department
