In a recent announcement, Elon Musk stated that Twitter would begin suspending accounts that impersonate other users without a clear disclaimer in their bio.

It was decided to take this action after multiple verified Twitter accounts were discovered to be impersonating Musk and even US Vice President Joe Biden.

The restriction affects "any Twitter" handle, not just verified users, therefore this change will have far-reaching consequences for the network.

Musk claims that more people will be exposed to false material from verified accounts now that the blue tick mark that comes with a Twitter Blue subscription is available to more people.

Thus, in this scenario, changing your name will temporarily remove the blue verified tick.
