Twitter is set to charge users for two-factor SMS codes today.

Last month, the social media giant announced that only Twitter Blue customers would be allowed to request the codes, as it was shutting down access for text message authentication methods due to an abuse of the system by hackers.

Those wanting to protect their Twitter accounts will now have to pay for the Blue subscription.
