Twitter is apparently refusing to pay Google Cloud bills.
Twitter signed a multi-year contract with Google before Elon Musk's acquisition of the social media platform related to fighting spam and protecting accounts, among other things.
However, Twitter has allegedly been trying to renegotiate its contract with Google since March.
The conflict between Twitter and Google could result in the social media company's trust and safety teams being weakened, according to a report.
Also, Amazon warned Twitter in March that it would withhold advertising payments because of the company's outstanding bills to Amazon Web Services for cloud computing services.
