Sony has revamped its PlayStation Plus subscription service to better compete with Xbox Game Pass. PlayStation Plus will now have three subscription tiers, the upper two of which now offer a large library of games that users can download or stream. The new PlayStation Plus tiers will start rolling out in June.
The PlayStation Plus Essential tier offers the same benefits as the current PS Plus subscription, at the same price. Subscribers will get 2 monthly downloadable games, exclusive discounts, cloud storage for save games, and access to online multiplayer.
The price remains at $9.99 monthly or $59.99 yearly in the US, or ₹499 per month or ₹2,999 per year in India.

The new PlayStation Plus Extra tier will include all benefits from the Essential tier, but also provide a catalog of up to 400 PS4 and PS5 games, that users can download and play whenever they want.
In the US, PlayStation Plus Extra will cost $14.99 per month, or $99.99 per year. India pricing for this tier is not yet known.
The PlayStation Plus Premium tier will include all the benefits from previous tiers, and also allow users to access up to 340 additional games. These include PS3 games that can be streamed from the cloud, and PS1, PS2, and PSP titles that can be download or streamed. This tier will only offer streaming access in regions where the PlayStation Now streaming service is currently available.
In the US, PlayStation Plus Premium will cost $17.99 per month, or $119.99 per year. India pricing for this plan has also not been announced yet.
Sony has not yet revealed a comprehensive list of titles that will be available to stream or download in the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium tiers, but has said that it will include titles like Death Stranding, God of War, Marvel’s Spider-Man, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Mortal Kombat 11, and Returnal.
