Samsung’s flip phone game just got a major glow-up. The Galaxy Z Flip7 may look familiar at first glance, but a closer look reveals this clamshell is much more polished than its predecessor. From its redesigned cover display to a slimmer profile and a new AI-powered software experience, the Flip 7 is here to flex both style and smarts.
For a premium foldable, the unboxing is a little too basic. The matte black square box feels like a slightly bulked-up Galaxy S-series package. There’s no real colour cue on the box, no standout branding—it’s all very minimal. Inside, you get the Flip 7 already unfolded with protective film on the screens, which is honestly the most satisfying part. A thin envelope tucked in the lid holds the paperwork, SIM tool, and a USB-C to C cable. That’s it. No charger, no extras.
On the inside, you get a 6.9-inch full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X foldable display and a 4.1-inch Super AMOLED cover screen outside—both supporting 120Hz refresh rates and up to 2,600 nits peak brightness. The outer screen has been upgraded from that old folder-style layout to an edge-to-edge panel, and it’s protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
Under the hood, it’s powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 2500 chip, paired with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB of storage. You also get Android 16 and One UI 8 out of the box.
Beyond the sleek look, the Z Flip 7 packs a solid 4,300mAh battery, Armor Aluminium frame, and a redesigned Armor FlexHinge that’s thinner and tougher. It also brings IP48-rated protection.
For cameras, you’ve got a 50MP wide primary sensor and a 12MP ultrawide shooter on the outside, and a 10MP selfie cam inside. Samsung’s ProVisual Engine kicks in with AI tools like Note Assist, Live Translate, Circle to Search, and Now Bar/Brief for extra smarts—right from the cover screen.
As for pricing, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 starts at ₹1,09,999 in India for the 12GB + 256GB variant, while the higher-end 12GB + 512GB model is priced at ₹1,21,999. It’s available in Blue Shadow, Coral Red, Jet Black, and Mint—the last one being a Samsung India website exclusive. Pre-orders are live, and early buyers can snag the 512GB model at the price of the 256GB version.
