According to Reuters, Viacom18 has partnered with Warner Bros to bring HBO content exclusively to JioCinema app in India. Although the financial details are undisclosed, the deal is said to be exclusive and of significant importance, making JioCinema the preferred platform for HBO and Warner content in India. The partnership could bring thousands of streaming hours to JioCinema, which has already become popular due to its free streaming of IPL cricket. Prior to the deal, HBO's shows were available on Disney Hotstar, which ended its agreement with HBO on March 31.
