According to cybersecurity firm Hudson Rock, the private data of over 40 crore Twitter users is for sale. This database provides a lot of information, including high-profile individuals' emails and phone numbers.

Furthermore, the hacker is apparently trying to blackmail Twitter CEO Elon Musk into purchasing the data.

Hudson Rock said in its tweets that the individual responsible for the breach is "credible" and claims to have obtained the data in early 2022 by exploiting a Twitter vulnerability.

The threat actor has also released a sample of the data, which includes sensitive information of high-profile individuals such as Donald Trump Jr., Sundar Pichai, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Twitter is not experiencing its first data leak. Earlier this year, Twitter data from 54 lakh users was made available for purchase online in August.
