Xiaomi has officially announced the Xiaomi 14 India launch date, marking a significant moment for tech enthusiasts across the country. This news comes after the brand teased its collaboration with Leica on its official Indian social media page.
The Xiaomi 14 series is set to make its global debut at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) on February 25, following its initial unveiling in China last October. Furthermore, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is slated for a release in China on February 22, adding excitement to Xiaomi's lineup.
The eagerly awaited Xiaomi 14 will make its way to India on March 7, as confirmed by Xiaomi India via a social media post. This puts the Indian launch a few weeks post the global unveiling and several months after the series was first introduced in China. It appears that the Indian market will primarily receive the standard Xiaomi 14 model, with no current plans to introduce the Xiaomi 14 Ultra and Xiaomi 14 Pro variants in the region.
The Xiaomi 14 is anticipated to bring top-notch specifications to the Indian market. Originally launched in China with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, the device boasts a 6.36-inch LTPO display offering a 1.5K resolution and an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate.
The Indian version is expected to maintain these high-end features. Additionally, prospects of up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage further enhance the anticipation for its release.
In collaboration with Leica, the Xiaomi 14 presents a powerful camera setup, including a 50-megapixel primary sensor with OIS and a Summilux lens.
The device also features 50-megapixel telephoto and ultra-wide angle sensors, ensuring versatile photography capabilities. An IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, along with a 4,610mAh battery supporting 90W fast charging and 50W wireless charging, rounds off its impressive specifications.
Xiaomi has also disclosed details about the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, which is set to launch in China. This model will incorporate a 1-inch 50-megapixel Sony LYT900 sensor with an f/1.63 aperture and a Leica Summilux optical lens. Dual telephoto cameras with 50-megapixel Sony IMX858 sensors are also confirmed, indicating Xiaomi's focus on enhancing the photographic capabilities of its Ultra variant.
While the official pricing details for the Xiaomi 14 in India have not been disclosed, expectations are high for competitive pricing that aligns with Xiaomi's market strategy of offering high-end features at accessible price points.
